The Rock Adventure Day is a perfect introduction to climbing in the southwest. Maybe you have never climbed before, maybe you have climbed indoors at a gym, or maybe you just want to see what climbing on Navajo sandstone is like. This is the perfect fun-filled day for you.
Although not heavily curriculum dependent, your guide will go over the fundamentals of climbing safely outdoors, and give you the opportunity to learn as much about this sport as you like. However, the bulk of your day will be spent on the rock. If you'd like to be free to enjoy your day without stopping to pull out your camera, professional photographers are available through Enlighten Photography to capture your moments at the rocks. The routes available can vary in difficulty as you desire, and can be anywhere from 40 feet to 100 feet high. Choose a half-day or full-day and let’s get climbing! |

We learned how to tie in, how a grigri worked and by the end of the day we were pseudo lead climbing--climbing with a top rope and practicing hanging draws and clipping using a second rope... A great introduction to sport climbing for those with little to no outdoor experience."

They took time to be sure that we were comfortable with with what we were doing and that were always safe. They made sure we understood what we needed to do and then they encouraged us to go beyond what we thought we could do."
