What is canyoneering?
Nestled in the desert sands of Southern Utah are slot canyons. The only way to see their intimate beauty is to descend them; a once in a lifetime experience for most. For some, it becomes an addiction.
Some canyons can be explored simply by hiking; others require more technical skills, such as rappelling, down-climbing, wading, or swimming. However, variations in topography make it possible for people of all ages to enjoy canyoneering, and it is quickly becoming a mainstream activity in the United States, no longer limited to the small population of technical climbers and mountaineers. All you need is the right canyon and an adventurous spirit. If you are looking for an amazing adventure, we can take you.
Zion Adventures™ guides progress through a rigorous training program which allows us to offer safe canyon adventures for people of all ages and skill levels. Our guides are especially good at facilitating groups comprised of people with differing levels of experience in the outdoors.
Whether you have never been in a harness, or you have descended canyons on your own, we have the right adventure for you.
