What is canyoneering?

Nestled in the desert sands of Southern Utah are slot canyons. ​The only way to see their intimate beauty is to descend them; a once in a lifetime experience for most. For some, it becomes an addiction. 

Some canyons can be explored simply by hiking; others require more technical skills, such as rappelling, down-climbing, wading, or swimming. However, variations in topography make it possible for people of all ages to enjoy canyoneering, and it is quickly becoming a mainstream activity in the United States, no longer limited to the small population of technical climbers and mountaineers. All you need is the right canyon and an adventurous spirit. If you are looking for an amazing adventure, we can take you. 

Zion Adventures™ guides progress through a rigorous training program which allows us to offer safe canyon adventures for people of all ages and skill levels. Our guides are especially good at facilitating groups comprised of people with differing levels of experience in the outdoors.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Whitney as our guide. We did a full day tour of canyoneering, it was a blast! Whitney was fantastic! She knew all the great places to go, and had a list for us to choose from when we arrived to make our adventure geared towards us. She was extremely knowledgeable and on top of safety on all aspects. She didn't miss a thing. We couldn't have been more pleased with our trip. Highly recommend this company. Very professional and right in the middle of town!

Hats off to Zion Adventure Company! Thankfully the guides were really friendly, funny,  knowledgeable, skilled and all around good people. They were attentive, patient and very thorough, making sure to always remind us about technique etc., without bre huhaking up the fun. With no hesitation, I would recommend this company, hands down, to anyone who is looking for the right guides.
