Fully immerse yourself in the red rock cliffs and canyons of Zion. You'll traverse ledges, peer into slot canyons and scramble up rocks - all at a moderate pace. Just two miles long, this 3 - 3.5 hour adventure is great for kids and adults alike. Be prepared to gain some elevation to the top of a canyon for expansive, beautiful views. For those who are feeling adventurous, take on the challenge of trying rappelling while your explore.

​Our guides are highly knowledgeable and excited to share the stories of Zion along the way. We are in love with this magical place and are excited to share it with you.

You'll enjoy this zion adventure if:

  • You want a unique Zion hiking experience that lets you experience the best features of the southwestern desert in just half a day.
  • You want to know more about Zion and the surrounding area. Our guides have all kinds of tidbits of information to share with you, including local stories, folklore, geology, animals, plants etc.

When
  • AM tours begin at 7/7:30am MST and return between 11:30am - 12:00pm
  • PM tours begin at 1/1:30pm MST and return between 5:00pm - 6:00pm​

Guided tour terms
Full payment is due at time of booking. Cancellations more than 14 days in advance will receive a 95% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of trip date are non-refundable. Weather conditions do not permit clients to cancel trips.  If your Zion Adventures® guide determines conditions make the event unsafe, we will reschedule or make every effort to provide a comparable experience; if not possible, all purchases will be refunded in full.
What To Bring
Our guides provide all the necessary technical gear for your experience, but recommend you bring:
  • Water (2-3 liters per person) 
  • Sun protection (sunscreen, protective layers, hat, etc.)
  • Closed-toe footwear (athletic shoes or hiking shoes)
  • Lunch and snacks 
  • Camera (hire a professional photographer to join your trip)
  • Clothing for varying seasonal weather
    • Summer: A synthetic t-shirt, shorts or lightweight pants 
    • Spring/Fall/Winter: Warm synthetic layers, waterproof jacket, and gloves        ​

Many of our guests arrive feeling curious, excited, and a little unsure. Our guides are trained to recognize that and respond with patience, encouragement, and clear instruction.

Every Cliffs & Canyons tour is built around challenge by choice. Your guide checks in regularly, offers options when available, and adjusts pacing and techniques to support both confidence and safety.

Me and my wife did the 1/2 day canyoneering trip. Our guide was amazing! Gayle made us feel confident with the gear and movements. For me, being afraid of heights, I was apprehensive. Gayle did a wonderful job reassuring me that I could do this. It was a fantastic experience. Gayle was the best! Well done!

Had an amazing time! Kyle was our guide for the Canyon Adventure Day and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. My girlfriend and I did this and we had zero experience in rappelling or canyoneering. He walked us through the steps (which were pretty simple) and explained it thoroughly. I felt really comfortable telling him what I was and wasn’t comfortable doing and he was incredibly accommodating along the way. We were comfortable doing a larger rappel down but he asked us what we wanted to do and suited the day for what we wanted! Kyle had a really in depth knowledge about the area and the geography which was a bonus! We did the half day and got 4 rappels in and went into a really cool slot canyon. Felt safe the whole time while being able to push outside my comfort zone, would for sure go again!!

Whitney guided us on an absolutely fantastic half day canyoneering tour. She adjusted the trip to our skill level and really tailored the experience to the two of us. She did a great job listening to us and what we wanted out of our day. The views from lambs knoll were incredible and the whole experience was a lot of fun. Would highly recommend!
