GUIDED CANYONEERING TOUR

High Adventure Day

For decades, Southern Utah's desert slot canyons have been a magnet for High Adventure enthusiasts. They are Challenging. Rewarding. Inspiring. Addicting.

In addition to the fluted sandstone walls that characterize slot canyons everywhere, our high adventure destinations all contain water at certain times of the year, possibly flowing, and steep rappels; characteristics which make these awesome trips challenging desert expeditions.  The athletic and inspired will find this highly ambitious day demanding, yet immensely rewarding.

Although your professionally trained guide will work with you to choose the best canyon to suit your needs, the physical and technical nature of this expedition requires personal responsibility for safety and a high level of efficiency, competency and independence with rope handling and rappelling from each participant.

You are a good candidate for this expedition if you:
  • Are self-sufficient on extended outdoor excursions–technical or non-technical
  • Are comfortable being wet and traveling through (potentially cold) water
  • Can carry a pack up to 35 pounds for 8 – 10 hours
  • Have previous rope handling and rappelling experience, or possess rapid technical skill acquisition capabilities
  • Enjoy pushing yourself to the limit

Do you have any questions? Do you want to hear about other options, or does this sound like an invigorating challenge you would enjoy? If you answer yes to any of those questions, then give us a call and speak with an outfitter today.

Our guide was entertaining, engaging, knowledgeable and challenged us throughout the entire day. We learned an incredible amount from a technical perspective as well as about the Utah parks. If you're up for an adventure - look no further then ZAC!
