A half or full day of climbing is perfect for families. It is something everyone, regardless of age, gender or fitness level can do. It requires problem-solving, helping one another, trusting each other and celebrating achievements time and time again. Not to mention the fact that it’s just plain fun.

If your family includes a child 12 or under, this is the right climbing trip for you. Putting on a harness and ascending a vertical cliff with young kids is a thrilling experience. Twenty-two years of hosting families have given us the wisdom we need to adapt our Rock Adventure Day specifically for you.

Just like our Family Canyoneering Adventure guides, our climbing guides specialize in family experiences. They adhere to an extensive training program designed by professional certified guides, and undergo yearly review and assessment following employment. This is how we can guarantee you the safest and highest quality experience.

LOGISTICAL DETAILS

Family Rock Days are specifically designed for families traveling with at least one child who is between 5 - 12 years old. If you are visiting with older children, the Rock Adventure Day will serve your family best.

All times listed are Mountain Standard Time

Half Day Tours begin at 7:00am or 7:30am, or
1:00 pm or 1:30pm
- Tours return between 11:00am - 12:00pm or
  5:00pm - 6:00 pm

Full Day Tours begin at 7:30am
- Tours return between 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Drive time for all tours is between 35 - 75 minutes, depending on season and locale

Family Rock Days are not subject to additional large group discounts.

Guided Trip Terms
Full payment is due at time of booking. Cancellations more than 14 days in advance will receive a 95% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of trip date are non-refundable. Weather conditions do not permit clients to cancel trips. If your Zion Adventures® guide determines conditions make the event unsafe, we will reschedule or make every effort to provide a comparable experience; if not possible, all purchases will be refunded in full.
