Zion Canyon

Zion National Park allows visitors to experience the wonders of the main canyon from the seat of a bicycle via the Parus' trail or Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

Pa'rus Trail
OVERVIEW

The Pa'rus Trail is a paved, 1.7 mile trail that winds its way along the Virgin River from the Zion National Park Visitors Center to Canyon Junction. The trail itself is open to both bike and pedestrian traffic, and features breathtaking, 360 degree views of Zion Canyon.

Zion Canyon Scenic Drive
OVERVIEW

The most popular road biking option in Zion National Park, the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, is 8.7 miles of stunning beauty around every turn. The road is closed to private vehicle traffic during the busiest times of year - from April to October- allowing bikers to share the road only with the shuttle busses. Another option, to avoid pedaling up the incline to the Temple of Sinawava, is to put your bike on the shuttle (April - October). Once the shuttle reaches it's final destination, or any shuttle stop in between, you can remove the bike and enjoy a relaxing coast downhill all the way back to town.
