How to Have a Great Overland Trip

Overland-Experience

ESSENTIAL DETAILS
All tours depart from Zion Adventure Company. Please arrive a few minutes prior to scheduled departure. Departure times vary seasonally so we can capture the best light and most comfortable temperatures for your experience. We generally have a morning and an evening departure. Check at the time of booking for your exact meeting time. Any group of 8 or more is eligible for a 10% discount, and pending availability, a custom departure time. We built a custom audio system, so you can communicate questions, and hear all of interest from your tour leader the entire drive. We stop for dramatic views and to give everyone the opportunity to stretch their legs and enjoy Zion’s majesty. We follow all Leave No Trace practices and do not allow artifact, rock, or resource collecting of any kind.

BE PREPARED
Though you are traveling in a vehicle, it is 80% open to the elements. In Spring and Fall, please bring warm clothing, such as fleece jackets.  We cancel/reschedule tours if it is raining at departure time, but occasionally we unexpectedly run into storms, so bring rain gear. Jeep roads are dusty, so be prepared to come home a little dirtier than you left. Any time of year, be sure to have a wind jacket, sunscreen, shade hat, sun glasses, binoculars, drink, snack, and camera. There are no bathrooms along the way, but if needed, we can make a wilderness pit-stop, and provide Wag® Bags so you can carry out your human waste. Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited during the tour.
