Adventure Rock

If you are curious about rock climbing and want to see what it's like in a safe, fun, and uncomitting atmosphere, this course was designed with you in mind. Choose Adenture Rock if you want to experience climbing for a half- or full-day, but want a trip light on curriculum and heavy on fun.

- Everyone in the group must be ready to take responsibility for each others' safety

Not curriculum-heavy but still offering skill sets appropriate to your interests, our main focus is having fun, being safe, and getting time on the rock with friends and other groups.

• Climbs from 40 to 100 feet
• Opportunities for easy, moderate, and very challenging climbing
• Opportunities to learn belaying and rappelling skills
• Locations near or around Zion National Park
• Half- and Full-Day options to compliment the logistics or your travel plans

Basic rock skill sets with a main focus on experiencing the variety and challenge rock climbing offers:

• Knots and rope work
• Safety essentials
• Basic hand and footwork

We provide all necessary technical gear for your experience, but recommend you bring:

• 2 quarts water/person
• Lunch and snacks
• Sunscreen
• Warm layer and wind jacket
• Light hiking pants or long shorts to protect your knees
• Light hiking shoes or sneakers
• Any type of camera

LOGISTIC DETAILS
• Meet for morning instruction at Zion Adventure Company at 36 Lion Blvd., across from the Quality Inn.
• 7 days/week, year-round
• Class begins at 7:30 am (Mountain Daylight Time)
• Drive time is between 35 - 75 minutes, depending on season and locale
• Trips return between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
