In 1996, I left an elementary school teaching position in New Jersey to travel the world. I grabbed my puppy, Sedona, threw some clothes into a backpack, and hopped into the truck to head west across the country. I made it as far as Zion and was compelled to stay. Zion seems to do that to people.
I have since returned to the East to raise my kids near my family, teach middle school to precocious pre-teens, and spend every spare moment with my children outdoors. Each summer we return Zion where a part of me will always be. I am blessed to be a part of this organization and wish it serves you well.
