I was born and raised in sunny Denver, Colorado where I spent my summers working and adventuring in the Rockies. My parents understood the importance of getting away from the city and experiencing the outdoors. Through their encouragement and support I developed a passion for rock climbing and spending time in the outdoors. This passion only became stronger through my college years where I studied computer science and math at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Washington. During my time there, I became very involved with the Passages outdoor orientation program for new students. That program taught me the importance of forming a connection with the people and places around you. Through that program, I formed some of my strongest bonds with friends and the outdoors. While on a road trip in 2011, I discovered Zion Adventure Company as they outfitted me for my canyoneering adventures. Unfortunately, I had to many plans getting in my way of working there. But, after two more years of traveling and enduring the dampness of the north west, I felt it was time to dry out. So, I loaded up the car with my belongings and headed south to Zion! I am now officially couch surfing my way through Springdale and outfitting at this wonderful place called Zion Adventure Company. Even though I have closed the northwest chapter of my life, I will never forget what I learned there. I am approaching this next chapter with excitement and an open mind. I can not wait to see what the south west has in store for me!
