Roni Taylor and Zion Adventure Company owner, trip leader, and unauthorized actor, Jonathan Zambella, spent two days having fun together in the grandfather of all slot canyons, the Zion Narrows, and getting technical, in Snake Alley - canyoneering.

"The "Getaway Girl", Roni Taylor goes cayoneering for the first time on the outskirts of Zion National Park near Springdale, Utah. This was a secret canyon that the outfitters found and because of that it was beautifully maintained and nearly untouched. We had to hike a pretty long way through Snake Alley to get to the launch point. We did two rappels down the side of a beautiful slick rock canyon and then had to "crab walk" through tight slot canyons to get to the next rappel. I was unsure of my willingness to put my life in the hands of an outfitter but realized it was even more unnerving to trust my own strength to get myself through the slot canyons. This was a trip I'll never forget and certainly one that I will appreciate for a long time to come."
