Growing up, I could never get enough time exploring new places and playing in beautiful surroundings. Since my dad worked in the airline industry, we had opportunities to see much of the country. Over the years, I got to visit relatives in the midwest, Washington DC and nearby Shenandoah Forest, and Hawaii, amongst others. Beyond these trips, I have strong, specific memories of annual trips to Sequoia, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon National Parks. Parks and camps of most any kind were my thing.

My love for parks and outdoor sports led me to an A.A., a B.S., and part of an M.S. in Recreation and Leisure Studies - Business Management. This led to many years working with the YMCA, operating my own retail business, and eventually working with major resorts.

I also have a strong love for natural and wholistic healing, creating inspiring environments that can lead to personal transformation, doing energy work, and helping others get the most out of life.

Almost 13 years ago, my family moved to Southern Utah and I moved to the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. While making trips back and forth to see them, I would almost always pass through Zion. It was like entering a space separate from the rest of the world. It was entrancing, and it seemed to stimulate great personal transformations with every trip. I watched the seasons change year after year, until I moved to Southern Utah almost 3 years ago, in 2007.

Zion offers a nurturing energy that develops strength and inner harmony, an energy different and far more rewarding to me than anywhere else.  Zion offers me a peacefulness and serenity that I want to drink in more and more.

Working at ZAC has not only brought me back to my beloved field of Recreation, but has united that with my love of working in the travel and tourism industry.  In addition, my job supports my own personal growth while allowing me to further my own work with others in natural healing, personal awareness, and motivational speaking. It allows me to put my B.L.I.S.S. philosophy into action - Building Love Inspiration Self-Awareness Sentience.
