The Chaco Tan

Feet with a serious Chaco sandal tan

10+ years wearing Chacos in the desert adds lots of character to your feet. Photo credit: Regina Pagles

Regina Pagles, a noted local photographer and digital image magician, posted this awesome self-portrait recently. Reggie’s image deftly captures the “Chaco tan,” a frequent sight in Springdale this time of year. By the end of the summer, this look is dominant amongst the desert crowd, as months of sun and dust have conspired to brown those exposed areas our sandals don’t protect.

For more photography from Regina, check out her blog or check out her recent two-page spread in Digital Photo magazine. You can also find her at Bike Zion, where she helps her husband, Fred, run the family business.
